2 days ago the last major roadway completed construction from the flood of 19...that marked 128 days of work from the time they started to completion. It took them around 72 days to fix dodge street. Can you fix a friendship in that time? Finally I can use one of my favorite roads again. The county also repaved a vital road of the Valley 7 Lakes Marathon, a fresh 6 inches of blacktop down 252 street for 2 country miles. As I told my friends after the flood, there’s always a light. And although many people of the community are still recovering; at least we get our roads back to normal. Now I can get back to riding my bike on my favorite loop through Waterloo...We will not refer to the years forward as 2020 but rather Year One Post Flood
